A
Bastard Named Jack
by Jack Sweeley
There once was a
bastard named Jack,
who demanded his records back.
The state said no;
The reasons you know.
Your records were sealed to give you a shield,
we did what is best your interest to protect.
Thus you have no compelling need,
because there is no such thing indeed.
So, said Jack, I know just what to do,
I'll join the nation, the Bastard Nation.
I'll lobby, I'll fight, to make things right,
I'll petition the courts, referendum of course,
I'll scream and I'll holler demanding even louder.
My cause is just, I cannot lose,
in Oregon and Washington we lit the fuse.
So as I walk away with my records in hand,
I see Bill Pierce and his motley band,
I'll tell him the truth right to his face,
Bill Pierce, you're nothing but a laughable disgrace.
As I turn on my heel I am no longer blue,
because it feels so good to finally say,
Bill Pierce, screw you!
Back to BASTARD NATION.
