For all the legislators listening, and you better be listening, let me lay it on the line
for you.
State-sponsored secrecy regarding my birth violates my FIRST amendment right to petition the government for redress of grievances by hiding a potentially actionable personal fact and unjustly
constraining the exercise of that right.
State-sponsored secrecy violates due process wherein existing rights and protections are removed without any offense on the part of adoptees, their biological families, and
all their future generations, preventing or greatly impeding legal, proper and truthful knowledge, speech and associations among free people. States violate my right to privacy by sequestering and falsifying
personal information and imposing upon all adoptees a life completely separated from all hereditary bonds.
Most importantly, state-sponsored secrecy violates the most basic of all HUMAN RIGHTS; the right to
know the people who gave us life. No person should have the right to deny another human being this dignity. I contend this right to be INALIENABLE!
So I stand before you and ask; do we have equality? Do we have liberty? Do we have Justice? I ask you today if this is morally right?
