Nation's "agenda" is simple: the full human and civil rights
of adult adoptees. In terms of records access, Bastard Nation
does not believe that the government should hold what amounts
to secret and sealed dossiers on its law-abiding, adopted
citizens.
Bastard
Nation does not believe that social workers, bureaucrats
or third-party agents should act as gatekeepers for our
vital records. As agendas go, ours speaks to our fundamental
right to self-determination as individuals and citizens.
The voters of Oregon understood this when they voted for
Measure 58."
