Harvard-Wellesley Conference on Mixed Race Experience
Cambridge, Massachussets - Hundreds of mixed race students, families, and faculty from across the US and Canada will converge on the Harvard University campus for a 3 day conference celebrating the mixed race experience and also to educate each other about the history, health, and political issues concernin g people of mixed race. The mixed race experience is an umbrella term used to define the diverse experiences of bi-racial, multi-racial, and multiethnic people, trans-racial adoptees, and inter-racial families. It is a wonderful opportunity to experience mutual understanding and encouragement and to learn about the needs of waiting children today. North America International Registration Day (or RegDay) is sponsored by the Adoption Registration Coalition and is an annual event held to furnish information about the International Soundex Reunion Registry and to assist adults interested in finding lost family by registering with the free ISRR. Information about local search/support groups, state agencies, local agencies, state laws, the adult adoptee rights movement and other relevant information is also disseminated through our efforts.
