"Bastards on the Brick Road"
Aljoya Conference Center, Seattle, Washington
"Bastards on the Brick Road" focused on team-building, outreach stratetegies, and development of leadership skills in the adoptee rights movement. It was open to all who wish to build upon their activist experiences. Presentations and workshops focused on the wide array of skillsets essential to activists: public relations, organizing within local adoption communities, drafting ballot initiatives, and lobbying legislators. RegDay 2000 - 6th annual I.S.R.R. RegDay
North America International Registration Day (or RegDay) is sponsored by the Adoption Registration Coalition and is an annual event held to furnish information about the International Soundex Reunion Registry and to assist adults interested in finding lost family by registering with the free ISRR. Information about local search/support groups, state agencies, local agencies, state laws, the adult adoptee rights movement and other relevant information is also disseminated through our efforts.

Donaldson Institute Symposium on Ethics and Adoption: November 3 - 5, 1999; Anaheim, CA Ron Morgan and Damsel Plum of Bastard Nation presented an exhibit on 11/4 in the Moving into the Millennium: Innovations in Adoption Research, Policy, & Practice exhibit. Their exhibit was on "Internet Activism and the Adoptee Rights Movement."
